Pink and White 21st birthday cake decorating idea. This is my most popular design when decorating a cake for a girls 21st celebration.
So while I was making this fondant cake yet again I remembered to take some extra photos for my blog.
This time the only variation was to have a larger heart in the cake topper with 21 in diamante.
The top tier is 6″ white mud cake layered with white chocolate ganache and the bottom tier a 9″ chocolate mud cake layered with dark chocolate ganache.
Cake decorating tip:
When you are making cakes where the top tier is going to be on the diamond then there needs to be at least 3″ difference in the size of the tiers. The cake pictured is 6″ and 9″ if you had a 7″ on a 9″ then the corners of the top tier would overhang the bottom tier.
