Hi, I was asked to show in more detail the wedding cake I have displayed on the side of my blog. So I went searching for the original images and I put this little cake gallery together.
The colours were taken from the wedding invitation as were the little bees.
This is my version of a peony flower or a full open rose and is made from sugar paste – I have made then in all sorts of colours.
The bottom tier is a double height cake which means it is two separate cakes on their own boards set up together before the final layer of ganache and fondant icing. This makes serving the cake very easy as you cut down to the first board, serve the top tier, remove that board then you can serve the bottom tier.
Bye for now, Michelle

Hi Michelle. Do you have a link to buy those fantasy flower petal cutters you use in the video for the peony flower tutorial?
Thanks
Rose
Hi Rose, I do not have a link but the brand name is ORCHARD PRODUCTS and they are the larger sizes of their 5 petal cutters. In the video I used F6C and F6B. I hope this helps. Bye for now, Michelle
I should say that I finally found the time to make the 2 part video that Rose mentions above showing you how to make this easy peony flower. You can find it in the archives for February 2011.
Bye for now, Michelle
