I just wanted to show you a christening cupcake tower that I made last week.
There was a selection of both chocolate and caramel cupcakes which had been topped in either white or pink buttercream (my recipe is so so so smooth http://inspired-by-chocolate-and-cakes.com/chocolate-buttercream.html ) or whipped dark chocolate ganache.
They were baked in pink, silver and gold foil cases to tie in with the christening theme. They were topped with handmade fondant decorations – a mixture of small embossed butterflies in pink and white, pearls, bows and blossoms in pink and white.
Some of the cupcakes were displayed on the families wire cupcake stand and others were packed into display boxes and tied with ribbons as gifts for the guests.
The top cake had a piped design in pink that included butterflies, flowers and a bird amongst the swirls. It was displayed in front on the cupcake tower as I did not chance putting it on top of the slightly wobbly stand!
The whole display looked lovely and I received a wonderful thank you and some photos that I have included in this collage.
Bye for now,
Michelle Rea

I love the yellow cupcakes with the little pink flower. The color is so vibrant. Everything looks so deliciously beautiful.
